CancerThere are many different types of
cancer, the most common being breast, colon, lung, and
prostate cancer and it is estimated that as high as one in

Preventative measures for cancer are increase insoluble
fibre in your diet such as whole grains found in rye, brown
rice, and whole wheat, increase the consumption of oily fish
such as salmon, trout, mackerel, herring, tuna and sardines,
this is because they are high in Omega 3 fatty acids which
helps to protect against cancer, use olive oil in the diet,
keep to a vegetarian style diet with plenty of fruit and
vegetables especially citrus and berry fruits, apples and
tomatoes, onions, cauliflower and cruciferous vegetables
such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cabbage, avoid
alcohol, this will cut down the risk of developing cancers
of the liver, mouth, throat and voice box, cut down on red
meat consumption especially meat that has been fried or
barbecued, cut down on salt in the diet, limit caffeine
consumption, increase the consumption of Soya products,
excess sugar should be avoided, decrease the consumption of
saturated fats found in animal products, maintain a healthy
weight, give up smoking, avoid HRT and have regular check
ups with your doctor.
